HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATORS - RAEFORD, NC

Branch Civil, one of the East Coast’s most prestigious heavy construction firms, is currently constructing the final segment of the I-295 Fayetteville Outer Loop project.

Valued at $152 million, the contract calls for Branch to build a 5-mile-long four-lane divided highway in Cumberland County. The project includes four new overpasses, two mainline bridges, and two interchanges. In addition, crews will install 43,000 linear ft. of drainage pipes and $30 million worth of asphalt pavement.

The project office is in Raeford, NC. The anticipated completion date for this project is May of 2026.

 

Position Summary

Branch Civil (BCI) is always searching for skilled, reliable, and experienced construction workers, operators, and professionals to join our well-established, growing company.  We have a variety of opportunities in the Fayetteville, NC area. These future employee-owners will contribute to the Branch's successful completion of projects in the heavy civil construction industry, including highways and site development. 

 

We're hiring Laborers, Flaggers, Pipe Layers, Equipment Operators, Heavy Equipment Mechanics, Equipment Service Techs, Foremen, Superintendents, Field Engineers, Project Engineers, and other field operations and professional roles!

Duties/Responsibilities

  • May fastens attachments
  • May connect hydraulic hoses, belts, mechanical linkage or power takeoff shaft to tractor to provide power to raise, lower or tilt attachment
  • Operates controls to manipulate tool bars, carriers and disks
  • Operates controls to maneuver equipment, lower and tilt attachments to clear right-of-way
  • Listens for stalling action of engine to estimate depth of cut
  • May service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment
  • Work in a safe manner

  • Knowledge of construction techniques
  • 1 to 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • DOT experience preferred, but not required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies at the job site.
