
Equipment Logistics Supervisor
Position Summary
Branch Civil is searching for an Equipment Logistics Supervisor to join our well-established, growing company. The Equipment Logistics Supervisor is responsible for safely, swiftly, economically and legally moving equipment to and from projects as required by the operations (job sites and Equipment Operations leadership). The supervisor promotes and develops communication, coordination, and corporation between Field and Equipment Operations teams.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Schedules equipment moves to meet project requirements and notifies parties involved in advance to insure proper operation upon arrival at next jobsite.
- Ensures that all permits are secured and provided to Logistic drivers in a timely manner and before equipment is moved.
- Schedules lowboy drivers and notify parties involved in advance, ensuring proper operation upon arrival at the next jobsite.
- Utilizes and routes Qtanium Equipment moves module to schedule, plan, and coordinate moves as well as dispatching drivers.
- Manages and tracks equipment and driver utilization, with responsibility for $3 to $5 million in costs and oversight of a team of 5 to 7 employees, depending on the scope of work and subject to change based on organizational needs.
- Ensures equipment is transferred properly in tracking systems (such as Vista) to ensure inventory location is updated
- Assists equipment leadership in analyzing and minimizing the use and need of rental equipment.
- Works with operations team in project planning to ensure special project needs such as barrier, pipe, etc. are delivered to site as needed.
- Maintains related data systems (Qtanium, spreadsheets, Viewpoint, etc.)
- Ensure trucks and drivers are DOT compliant
- Oversee IFTA on-road fuel taxes quarterly and annually.
- Assist with DOT licensing for CMV’s including IRP, HVUT, UCR and any other annual renewals.
Duties/Responsibilities Cont.
- Ensure proper staffing to cover employee absences, both scheduled and unscheduled.
- Develop and manager positive relationships with fellow company personnel, vendors and clients
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local labor laws.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Understands, communicates, and enforces safety policies at Branch Shop Facilities and related equipment operations in the field.
- Ensures that any and all accidents involving equipment operations assets and personnel are reported to Equipment leadership and Safety Department.
- Establish a level of quality by which all completed work is measured. Communicates same.
- Enforces and adheres to all company safety policies and attends safety seminars for shop personnel.
- Ability to work both independently and with others effectively operating as a team member.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree with 2 years of heavy grading equipment experience OR
- Associates Degree or Technical Training in a related field with 5 years of heavy grading equipment experience
- Knowledge of function, operations and maintenance of equipment in construction environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations as they pertain to equipment operations.
- Knowledge of Office 365 and industry standard equipment management programs
Competencies

The position requires intermittent travel and overnight lodging.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will indirectly supervise up to 30 people.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40 hours a week.
