
PLUMBER II
Position Summary
Under the direction of the supervisor/foreman, perform journey-level plumbing work in the maintenance, repair and construction of a wide variety of complex and sophisticated plumbing systems. They will have a thorough understanding of layout procedures (for both piping and fixtures/equipment), plumbing and gas codes, and plumbing/hydronic system operation. A plumber 2 should be able to perform as a temporary project/scope lead in the absence of a foreman.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Daily/Strong attendance on jobsite location
- Adheres to and executes project and company safety requirements
- Works independently and leads small plumbing crews in both portions of larger projects or for the entirety of smaller/special projects
- Installs and assembles all forms of plumbing, hydronic, and gas piping, with minimal leaks or rework
- Solders and brazes copper piping
- Works with all types of metal (copper, cast iron, Propress) and nonmetal (CPVC, PVC, Uponor) piping materials
- Forsees potential issues with plumbing and HVAC systems before rework is required
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses plumbing and HVAC system problems
- Installs fixtures with minimal rework, and minimal punch list items upon completion
- Tracks change order work as directed by foreman or superintendent
- Gives daily and weekly FTQ reports, as directed by Lacy
- Supervises, trains, and mentors helpers and lower level mechanics
- Help network to and assimilate new hires on board
- Serves as lead on project productivity and quality in the absence of superintendent and/or foreman
- Attends and contributes to project meetings
- Operates a mini-excavator and skid-steer

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalency
- High School language (speaking/writing) and math skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- On-the job training
- OSHA 30 certification
- Journeyman’s License
- Medical gas Certification
- General understanding of construction workplaces and safety practices (signage, etc.)
- Natural leadership ability
- High performance and quality standards
- Reads and comprehends construction-specific drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and plumbing codes
- Demonstrates knowledge of plumbing and gas codes, as well as a comprehensive understand of plumbing and HVAC piping systems and construction methods
- Demonstrates the ability to layout and install HVAC equipment, piping, and piping specialties
- Demonstrates ability to layout plumbing work using grid lines, staying ni compliance with contract documents, coordination drawings, and cut sheets/submittals/RDI’s
- Can perform a 3-day rolling look ahead and coordination of materials
Compensation Data
Salary Min: $53,300
Salary Max: $79,950
Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.

This is a full-time which will typically involve 40 hours per week.
