The Electrician department’s responsible for install and repair of electrical writing, fixtures, and equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities
Depending on position hired for, these responsibilities could consist of, but are not limited to:
- Gather tools and supplies to be used at the work site
- Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit using ruler and hand tools
- Drills holes for wiring using power drill and pulls/pushes wiring through conduit or opening
- Traces out short circuits in wiring using knowledge of wiring and test meter
- Perform repairs such as replacing fuses and light fixtures using hand tools
- Disassembles defective electrical equipment using hand tools

Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications for Helper
- 1 to 3 months of prior electrician helper experience
- Driver’s License
- Elementary level mathematics and English language skills
Preferred Qualifications for Electricians
- 1 to 4 years prior electrician experience
- Driver's License
- Journeyman's License

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. They will need to stand (approximately 60%), walk (approximately 35%), and sit (approximately 5%). The employee will also need to be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, feel, talk, and hear. The employee will need to be able to carry up to 75 lbs, lift up to 100lbs, and move up to 200 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, midrange vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40 hours per week.
