MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

Position Summary

Branch Group is searching for a resourceful, collaborative Marketing Communications Specialist to join our well-established, growing company.  The Marketing Communications Specialist must have excellent overall writing, research and communications skills with an interest in/knowledge of business. Must have a good eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well under deadlines. Solid editorial judgment and experience a necessity.  The position will entail researching, developing, writing, editing and proofreading a full range of communications materials, including social media, talking points, Q&As, web content, employment branding, internal messaging, values and culture content, and more.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement campaigns, content and graphics for social media.  Schedule posts on multiple platforms and utilize proper approval channels.
  • Write, edit, and review all content for print and digital marketing collateral.
  • Ensure all communications follow brand and legal standards.
  • Assists with process improvements that support operational excellence, and supports business initiatives (plain language, standardization, etc.).
  • Develop talking points for executive interviews, written communications, and messaging.
  • Generate content and stories about the company, achievements, the brand, and the role of Branch within our industry and communities.
  • Write press releases for key initiatives, including new projects, new hires, and mergers or acquisitions.
  • Work on brand communications, including bios and boilerplates, updating existing assets and creating new ones as needed.
  • Manage internal communications calendar for annual rhythm of messaging via all mediums for employees.
  • Assist Marketing department in development of brand-specific collateral related to get-work initiatives as needed (proposals, resumes, templates, etc.).

Duties/Responsibilities Cont.

  • Work with Website Designer to implement strong SEO strategy.
  • Provide communications and logistics support to the departments as needed.
  • Responsible for writing employee communications to educate and engage all employees.
  • Explore new ways to speak to employees using innovative and engaging multimedia platforms.
  • Edit documents for consistency in style and tone of voice for all employee groups.
  • Identify and implement analytics to measure effectiveness of communications and channels.
  • Stay informed about overall business direction and key global markets to ensure all written materials are timely, relevant, and on brand.
  • Works effectively under pressure and meets deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in corporate communications.
  • Must be able to provide a variety of writing samples.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
  • Must have a proven track record of communications as a writer.
  • Excellent time management and deadline management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a creative, fast-paced environment that emphasizes excellence and teamwork.
  • Strong editorial judgment and visual sense. Adhere to AP style guidelines.
  • Ability to create connections across a matrixed organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient in Canva, InDesign, or other similar software.
  • Experience with photography or videography, a plus.
  • WordPress experience, a plus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.  Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
