Position Summary

Branch Group is searching for a highly-motivated, driven Senior Recruiter and Inclusion Specialist to develop and implement the company’s diversity initiatives and strategy to attract, hire, and maintain a diverse workplace.  The Senior Recruiter and Inclusion Specialist is responsible for the development of recruitment strategies, employing sourcing plans, applicant experience, and workforce planning in partnership with hiring managers.  The successful candidate will be a champion for D&I, successfully build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and design and execute creative way to develop Branch Group’s approach to D&I.

Duties/Responsibilities

Essential Recruiter Functions:

  • Work with hiring managers and business partners to identify recruiting needs.
  • Prioritize job requisitions to maximize effectiveness of hiring process.
  • Assist in development and design of job descriptions.
  • Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for assigned open positions.
  • Continually align recruiting objectives with business objectives.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
  • Continuously source to build a candidate pipeline (active and passive) aligned with business needs and competency framework.
  • Provide best in class experience for candidates, strengthening the integrity of Branch’s employment brand.

Duties/Responsibilities Cont.

Essential Inclusion Functions:

  • Serve as the primary contact for D&I data reporting and as the internal subject matter expert.
  • Provide data insights and recommendations to support Talent Acquisition, Retention, and Learning and Development.
  • Conduct research on key Diversity & Inclusion topics, programs and initiatives to advance and support D&I efforts at Branch Group and our business units.
  • Manage and develop holistic tracking methods to effectively measure D&I progress, report progress and ensure goals are achieved.
  • Assists with the planning, scheduling and coordination of D&I meetings including the design and development of meeting decks and other communications/tools.
  • Support program through the development and coordination of key external D&I partnerships, (e.g., universities and suppliers).
  • Design and manage annual D&I roadmap/activities.
  • Assist with the planning and facilitation of D&I training and other learning tools.
  • Continually evaluate D&I effectiveness and recommend solutions to drive continual improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Three to five years of human resources experience required; one to two years of human resources corporate recruiting experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices and trends in diversity and inclusion, including familiarity with key concepts (e.g. cultural competence, unconscious bias, etc.) Practical experience designing and/or implementing D&I programs preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Proficient with applicant tracking systems or other recruiting systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and materials with discretion.
  • Ability to travel for department meetings, college visits, and industry partner events.
  • Expert in building and maintaining collaborative cross-functional relationships and building consensus to achieve business objectives.

Travel

Travel is to and from business office location, as well as career fairs.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  This is largely a sedentary role; however, due to the nature of career fairs, there is walking, carrying and lifting items up to 25 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Typical office days and hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.; during career fair season hours may vary.
