ASSISTANT FOREMAN
Position Summary
Branch is searching for an Assistant Foreman to join our well-established, growing company. The Assistant Foreman is responsible for assisting the Foreman or Superintendent in any matter necessary to ensure maximum productivity and construction compliance. The Assistant Foreman must be aware of materials expenses, permits, and other regulations, as well as employee safety.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensures that the crew maintains professional relations with the owner, engineering, and members of the team
- Assists workers in solving job site problems.
- Operates power equipment and other machinery as needed.
- Builds jobs by plans and specifications as directed by their supervisor
- Along with the Foreman or Superintendent, the Assistant Foreman develops an effective plan and executes that plan so that construction means and methods operate at maximum productivity
- Stores materials and equip and performs regular checks on inventory
- Executes and observes company and OSHA safety procedures with all resources
- Reports safety violations/hazardous conditions to the Safety Manager or Foreman

- Ensures compliance of work to contract specifications and quality control. Report to the Foreman or Superintendent any corrections or inaccurate layout
- Trains crew and provides opportunities for promotion
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Able to make decisions under high pressure situations
- Dependable and organized
Qualifications
- High School diploma or Equivalency
- Working knowledge of standards, specifications, codes, regulations, and laws
- Knowledge of construction techniques
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- 3-5 years of construction experience
- Demonstrates leadership ability
- Able to make decisions under high pressure situations
- Dependable and organized
- Valid Driver’s License

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time which will typically involve 40 per week.
